Entry-level Recruitment Administrative Assistant

Over the next few years, we have ambitious plans to grow our staff, get involved in new issues and campaigns, and even launch new state organizations.

Job Description
In any fast-paced, dynamic nonprofit, a stable and efficient work environment is critical for success. Administrative assistants work with Environment America’s department heads and other members of the administrative team to provide support to the over 500 staff working with over 30 state groups and related organizations across the country.

Specific responsibilities of the Entry-Level Recruitment Administrative Assistant include:
• Candidate Tracking: Receive and screen incoming resumes; schedule first round interviews with all first round interviewers; conduct first round interviews; ensure candidates move through the entire interview process quickly.
• Reporting: Maintain database of candidate info; track and report weekly and monthly numbers to director; keep interviewers up-to-date on any changes to the process, and how they and the department are doing.
• Financial and Budgets: Work with the director to set departmental budget and track expenses throughout the year.

Qualifications
We seek a highly motivated individual with

• an attention to detail and a willingness to solve problems;
• strong written and verbal skills; and,
• experience using Word, Excel, Outlook and other computer programs.

Salary & Training
Salary ranges from $23,750 to $27,000 depending on experience. The benefits package includes educational loan assistance for qualified staff, a retirement plan, paid vacation and sick days. Health care is provided for experienced applicants; entry-level staff may elect to join our health care plan through a pre-tax payroll deduction. Opportunities for advancement, travel and additional training are available.
