An environmental victory
On Election Day, our country elected a pro-environment president and swept in a stronger pro-environment majority in Congress. Before we turn our attention to our 2009 legislative agenda, help us congratulate the candidates we endorsed using the form on the right. See below for more on our victories and pictures of staff and volunteers in action during the campaign.

A historic effort for a historic election
To all of you who pitched in, volunteered and took action online—thank you.
With
your help we put our support behind a team of environmental champions.
We educated the public about where candidates stood on the issues, and
where they had gone wrong. We didn't let 30-second ads be the last word
on the candidates' records. We let the voters know who was really on
the side of the environment. Our staff and volunteers knocked on
hundreds of thousands of doors to get that message across. So far,
we've seen 28 of the 29 pro-environment candidates we endorsed elected
on Election Day. (The one remaining race is still not decided.)
