Let’s Invest in Using Water Wisely

With the nation’s water infrastructure in disrepair, our rivers and lakes face increasing threats of pollution and we’re wasting millions of gallons of clean water.   We have a chance to change all that, starting today.

President Obama has submitted a new budget to Congress that includes $3.9 billion dollars for water infrastructure.  We want to make sure that at least 20 percent of those funds are used on green infrastructure projects to prevent sewage overflows and increase water efficiency.  Please call your U.S. Representative and urge him or her to vote for this vital clean water funding.

You can reach your Representative at 202-224-3121.

Here's a sample message you can leave: "Hello, my name is ____ and I live in _____. I'm calling to urge Representative ____________ to support the $3.9 billion in water funding in President Obama’s budget, and to make sure that at least 20 percent of that money is used on green infrastructure – to prevent sewage overflows and save water through efficiency."

Then, please report your call below so we can keep track of how many are being made.
