In their final months in office, the Bush administration is moving faster than ever to open our last wild forests to mining, drilling and timber industries.  The latest attack strips protections for six million acres of pristine forests in the beautiful state of Idaho -- some right on the doorstep of Yellowstone National Park.

You can help save these amazing forests by speaking out at a public hearing at the Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC -- the only public hearing on this terrible proposal outside the state of Idaho.

  • WHEN: Monday, January 14 from 5-10 PM.
  • WHERE: The Department of Agriculture, South Building, Jefferson Auditorium, 1400 Independence Avenue.
  • DIRECTIONS: The best way to attend the hearing is via Metro.  Go to the Smithsonian stop on the Orange and Blue lines.  Take the Independence Avenue exit and walk towards 14th Street (left out of the Independence Ave. exit) to the South Agriculture Building entrance (located at the corner of 14th and Independence).

Please RSVP by filling in the form to the left.
