BP backs off
When we discovered BP's plan to dump tons of toxic wastewater into Lake Michigan, over 80,000 Environment America action members and online activists took action. Three days after the petition signatures were delivered to BP and the EPA at a news conference, BP announced they were canceling their dumping plans due to "ongoing regional opposition."
